So I've been riding my very first scoot since we finished it's restoration back in September, have gone out every weekend I can but went out Sunday and the roads were a bit damp and I've got to say I didn't enjoy it and it was a bit cold too so I've decided that's it until about March now. Does everybody put their's away for the winter or are there some brave souls out there that use them all the time?

I've got a 56 plate PX125E with a Malossi 166 kit and Scorpion exhaust, and that thing goes in all weather!! Only transport so I've got no choice... I have recently added "Mickey Mouse ears" for my hands. As soon as I bought the scoot new in October 2006, I then started a new job which was a daily 60 mile round trip, 6 days a week, and it's kind of been non stop from there.......

Suppose it's a confidence and experience thing for me aswell as not wanting to get the scooter dirty!

If I had the choice (mainly when it's hammering it down with rain, or its freezing fog) I would lay mine up on those days.

some go away in winter , the pretty ones an the tuned , dont want to risk either on slippy roads .both me n management use our scoots daily all year round .the faff of waterproofs is still preferable than traffic an parking costs an finding a parking space in brightons a nightmare . only time i think twice is when snows on the ground ,then the most beaten up rat-scoot comes out an the fun begins . Maybe I'm just not confident enough then as I've only been riding a couple of months although I'm definitely of the opinion of 'ridden not hidden '

I commute 30 miles a day on my PX 125 then spend all 10-12 hours riding a Pan European round central London. I don't mind the weather changes & treat the road conditions & weather with respect & ride to arrive sunny side up each time.

6inch straight..the weight of the work/screen/forks helps keep the front wheel on the floor..mostly LOON-E
