I,ve been reading lots of posts and opinions on tyres for the px,i kinda like the more traditional tread pattern so i,m looking at
Michelin S83
Heidenau K38
Heidenau K47
Heidenau K58
Continental Classic
Michelin City Grip
what do you think?
thanks

Everyone has their favorites, personally I have used S83 for ever, until this year, the last 2 I had only did 1,000 miles on the rear of my P200 so I'll not buy again.
Now using the Heidenau K58 very happy with them, good all year round tyre.

Hi thanks,i,ve only ever bought the big brands but the Heidenau seem to be well liked i will try a set, the sava,s that came with the vespa seemed fine but i wasn't really expecting slick traction from a small wheel, i haven't ridden a scooter for many years and all my bikes had were easy to buy for

I find S83's are normally a pretty good compromise between wear & grip. Bryno, I wonder if the compound has been softened recently resulting in increased wear. I've just put a new 1 on my back wheel so I'll have to keep an eye on it

^ yes, I think they have and because they are made in many different countries/factories you never know what you will get, or indeed which are the best compound, some you can feel are really soft when you handle them.
I had an S83 on the P2, after 1'000 miles it was done, thought it was a one off so put another on which also lasted 1'000 miles.

I can't get them now , moto tyre and my two local scooter shops have said Continental have stopped producing them in 3.50x10 ... so if you know a local shop with any snap em up !!!
I've had to change to Dunlop ScootSmart all weathers and they are fantastic in wet and dry as good as the 365's but don't know how long they will last ( but at £50 a pair who cares when they still like glue on very wet roads in heavy rain )... www.dunlop.eu/dunlop_euen/mc/tyres/scooter/scootsmart.jsp

Did it feel any more grippy? i didn't really notice any difference to be honest, but then I don't really throw the P200 around much, I'm not a big fan of how PX's handle compared to other models ;-)

I've just changed my rear tyre to my last 'new' Conti Navigators. They are by far the best tyres I've ever had. I think they were updated to the 365. Shame if we can't get them anymore Superb tyres. Never failed me once. In all weathers and riding styles. Even when they are flat!
