I'm thinking of selling my vespa px200. I would be looking at getting a big bike. Long story short, I wonder if anyone has any experience of part Exing scooters that are not exactly standard. The motor is standard and the frame is complete and in great condition but there's a few extras on it too. Did you put it back to standard? what percentage of a private sale do you think you got. Part ex is tempting as long as I got a reasonable exchange. Cheers

you'd do better selling an then haggling the bike dealer with cash in your hand , unless he deals in both scooters an bikes he wont want it an will lowball you. or wait about 8-9 months an all piaggio dealers are going to carry aprilla's an moto-guzzis too . H

Thanks for the reply. That's very interesting re guzzi as the v7 is on my very short list. I'm also considering a gts300. Although I love geared scooters, the "tinkering" is a bit time consuming for me at present.
