Hi all I just got my new (to me!) 1999 autolube T5 home and left it in the garage a couple of hours. Came back to a small pool of 2 stroke on the floor so have put a paint tray under it for now. It's not p'ing out, just a steady drip. I know from mate's scoots that this is a common problem and the leak is definitely either the tank or hose(s) as the sight glass and footboards are dry and clean. I understand that to get to the tank I need to remove the petrol tank and this involves unbolting the top and removing the petrol tap and the choke knob. How do I get them off? Where's the access as it's not obvious? Any help appreciated. All the best GaryP

If the T5 is the same set up as the PX (not sure) you shouldn't need to remove the petrol tap lever to get the tank out. Just unbolt the tank on top, then push the little rubber grommet thingy on the petrol tap through the hole, then turn the lever to the upright, skywards position. As you then lift out the tank, the lever should pull through the hole still connected to the tank.
Hope this helps, Rob.

Just to absolutely clear, is it leaking 2-stroke oil or fuel? If it's fuel then there are only 2 hose connections, one under the fuel tank and the other in the carb and using Robjacks method you can inspect the one under the tank. The choke lever is'nt attached to the tank the lever is there for convenience not because it's near the tank. If it is a 2 stroke leak then same again check the hose connections in the tank and carb where the oil metering device is sat. A quick fix would be to remove the hose to the carb and thread a suitable bolt into the hose to stop it leaking and mix the oil with petrol yourself the old fashioned way.
Cheers
