just got my autolube working, wondered if autolube delivers the correct amount of oil to tuned engines not sure if my 200 has been tuned or messed with or is standard, wondering if there are any experts out there that know if 2% is ok
thanks

Aah the old "what %" argument , can of worms stuff . i run all my vespas on 2% ,what autolubes designed to do ,tho i pre-mix on my scoots . with decent oil thats right for stock or kitted .tho general consensus is mallossi kits need 3% ,with some evidence to back it up . H

"The 2% pre-mix ratio is a compromise, as are all pre-mix setups on all two-stroke motors. The idea is to get the least amount of oil possible, while still protecting the engine. Oil lowers octaine and robs power from your motor. It also loads up spark plugs at low engine speeds.
The Sipica autolube system fitted to Vespas is pretty brilliant. It mixes approximately 1.5% at idle all the way up to nearly 3% at full throttle. I do not ever recommend adding more oil to the fuel on an autolube bike, for break-in or at any other time."
The above is a quote from a shop in California, On the face of it, it makes sense. Can anyone confirm or refute?

In the PX factory manuals it quotes the system delivering a bit less than 2%, can't recall the exact figure, personally I'd stick with the autolube or run 2% if it's disabled

As said so many, many times here already....nothing needs more than 2%, pre-mix 2% is enough for fully ported engines. And autolube is fine for standard set ups or bolted on kits.
If an engine seizes if you don't put 3% or 4% in it, then its not set up right.
Like said in that quote just now, the more oil you put in slower it will go. 2% is plenty.

I run my kitted and non kitted on 2% (fully synthetic) i also have a malossi running on autolube, although to be fair, ive not riden it too much but no problems And i sometimes ride lots of wot for long periods too 2% is enough
