Hi Guys, I restored a primavera et3 for my wife a while back and had a small teething problem, when you opened her up ( the scoot not the missus) in 4th she would choke and die. After a bit of fiddleing it turns out that when the frame and parts were blasted before painting the breather hole in the petrol cap was blocked, anyway sorted that and the wife enjoyed a great summer of riding. She has had the scoot parked up for the winter and the same problem seems to have arisen again, i've cleared the breather hole but it hasn't seemed to work. Could it be that from being parked up for the last few months that the carb has become blocked? Thanks guys, Rich.

You can get some decent carb cleaner from Halfords etc that will shift most of the gum that builds up in the drillings, if that fails soak it in petrol for a day or two then use an airline to blow through all of the jets and drillings.
