Hi Guys, Just got in from work after being stopped by a friendly UPS man who informed me that my back light was out. it was working fine this morning, I guess the rain must have got in. I have just taken the cover off and dried it as much as I can - but it still wont work (the brake light works fine) is it going to be new bulb time? Any tips on weather proofing my PX a bit? At the moment I have to keep it outside on the patio (with its cover on) and I already have had a seized clutch. This is not good on a brand new PX - but i guess she just doesnt like the rain either! (Im going to have to save up for my Haynes!)

hi i think it has more to do with the vibration rather than the water i too had that problem...getting ready to ride, wearing a jacket, taking out the scoot, just to see i dont have a rear light there are ready to install LED bulbs that will fit instead of the original here are some ex: www.superbrightleds.com/led_prods.htmmy PX has LED instead of the regular bulb. it gives the same light power, maybe stronger, doesnt dim on idle and its more reliable. no problems yet (but, that was homemade, using an electronic panel, leds that i bought and resistors...soldering and wiring too.. )

Sadly, because classic scooters are metal, they just don't like being stored outdoors in the British climate, and there's not a lot we can do about it.
One thing you might want to try is buying one of those plastic disposable de-humidifiers you can get from B&Q or Homebase, the kind you put a little pack of crystals in, and leaving it on your floorboards before you cover the scooter up.

Thanks for your replys guys, going down my local dealers now for a bulb. I like the idea of the LED bulbs Rudi, especially the not dimming on idle. Its always my worry that a speeding chav will smack into the back of me while im waiting at the lights.
