It will be a while yet before i turn my attention to renewing my clutch and i have been looking into it a bit, would like to know for starters, is it just a straight swap if i put a more modern clutch on my 78 mk1? i read something about changing spacers or i might just be getting mixed up. also i wont be racing about so would i just be better of with the stock clutch i have?

cosa clutches are easier at the lever , so if planning a lot of town work definitely worth looking at .the old 7 spring will take more abuse than a stock cosa .if tuning a banded cosa 1 with uprated springs is the way to go . the spacers thing is for auto-lube engines ,as pump drive is from a gear behind clutch . an also some dremmeling/relieving of the clutch cover might be needed so clutch dont rub . H

pretty much ,with the usual scooter related fettling .just make sure ya new clutch has same count of teeth as old,should be 23 in a p200.H
