Can anyone recommend somewhere around Leeds area to get a px200 rebored to 1st oversize and roughly how much it will cost with piston & rings. Cheers.

e bay or beedys for 1st over piston , then look around local area for engine re-conditioners/engineering shops . or ring up n post to beedys an they do the lot ,H

I paid £70 for a re-bore, 1st oversize piston and rings a few years ago.

Beedys would no doubt do the whole lot for you send your barrel to them. Not so expesive either
Are you sure you dont just need new rings? You can measure the wear

Just pre-empting as I haven't lifted the head yet. Am I right in thinking that the barrel's OK if the bore is smooth and there's no oval wear?

lift the head an feel for a ridge at top where rings dont travel ,that will indicate bore wear amount , with barrel off an rings off piston push 1 ring half way down bore towards exhaust port with the piston to keep it square .measure ring gap with feeler gauges an will tell ya ring wear . 2mm+ an rings are worn out ,but i'd replace if over 1mm . if youve not got the measuring gear to check internal barrel size a new ring pushed into barrel with piston an gap measured at various points (top/middle/bottom) will give you a close idea of wether to re-ring or re-bore . H
