I'm going to rebuild and tune my px200 engine over the winter and was looking for some advice, thoughts or ideas. I've got two options : option 1 malossi 210 sport matched cases cut, rebuilt and balanced crank 36 tooth 4th gear welded clutch standard 24mm carb and sip road 2 exhaust this would be approximately £500
option 2 malossi 210 mhr matched cases 30mm reed valve conversation new crank expansion chamber exhaust primary drive up gear welded clutch this would be approximately £1000
What horse power figures could I expect from these ? Thanks

It would really depend on what you want to achieve,
If you want a big revvy fast powerful and thirsty motor and have the $$ go last option.
If you dont plan to race it everywhere and want a fairly straight forward rebuild, with fairly straight forward future maintanence, for a fairly straight forward use of the scooter and dont have the $$ then go 1st option. It should still good for 70mph and fairly reliable!
There are other kits available but theres no denying the malossi is a good and popular kit.
Not sure abput bhp figures but id guess, Option 1) less than 20bhp, Option 2), more than 20 bhp

1st option ,drop the 36 tooth n fit a 35 ,or it wont pull 4th , 2nd option you dont mention which crank ,57mm or 60mm , i'd go 60 , an which carb , try here www.germanscooterforum.de/ , theres a page where guys list there specs/jetting etc an also gearing an dyno results , fair few mallosi 210's on there . Before doing any parts list it's always best to decide what you want to do with it and how fast you want it to go. Once decided work from there. With the budget, the faster it goes the more frame work has to be sorted too (tubeless rims, decent shocks, stiffer engine mounts, disc pads, tyres that are rated over 62mph!, etc.)
