seems theres a emergency code an then ya can print the forms an fill manually , but then mot-er has to ring vosa n enter numbers into record by phone . met guy from kwik-fit today ,he'd done 1 mot ,took half hour as by rules , then 2 1/2 hours on hold to get through by phone to enter numbers , he didnt mind as he sat in office drinkin free posh coffee reading the paper , twice , an its a 1st mot for a resto ,my hacks got 8 months ,so not too bothered , tho the guy who wants to buy it to go to "pile of sh*te" bank holiday is having kittens ,had to turn my phone off ,couldnt hack another "what if" text . Got mine done this morning. New system still down – been sh↑te again for last couple of days apparently. Kev did it anyway; handwritten his copy to input into system when it's working, and I'll go back for my certificate in a couple of days when printed.

Me too with the online taxing; much simpler, and my old printed MOT runs for a couple of weeks too anyway. I was particularly pleased this year because it marks 12 full months on my rebuilt engine with not one incident of mechanical aggro at all; just Winter prep, Spring service and pre-MOT checks and tweaks. The only outstanding job is an oil change, but my drain 'temporary' bodgery is overdue a permanent fix now. What's the update? Cosa sorted? VOSA system running smoothly?
