Hi all
Hoping someone can assist with my problem. Was driving on the motorway last week at speed and at night when the lights went off and the engine cut out momentarily but then came on again. Was a bit worried but then a couple of mins later it cut out altogether and I had to pull over. It then started fine as if nothing was wrong and I carried on my merry way. Could have been nasty as I was still on there motorway.
I've made sure spark plug cap is on properly and thought about loose cables but wonder if it could be anything else. Any help would be much appreciated?
Thanks

If the whole thing died then i'd be looking at the ignition switch or stator or coil problems - what year is it - there was a few recalls on the GT's - fuel pumps - wiring issues - oil pump -

I don't know about the recalls. I bought it in 2010. Haven't driven it since as weather has been bad. May get a run next week. Will find out about recalls

most of what i know of gt/gts/mp3's is there a devil if damp/condensation gets into the electrical connections ,with the cdi/engine management module being a particular 1 to play silly beggars , hard to trace a intermittent fault n cure it , have to go through cleaning n waterproofing/wd40-ing the lot , an i think your local piaggio dealer should be able to find out if your scoot has been re-called or not , would save them from fixing same scoot twice .
