I'd start by checking the earth to the indicator itself..
Worth cleaning the front panel pin connector as well to be sure the live is connecting ok.

It comes on first thing in the morning but goes off as soon as i start riding. Any thoughts? hi, 2 things 1 - you say its a morning problem (mist\moisture builds up during the night) 2 - you switch on one thing, the other is affected (shortage) its likely to be some water\moisture in one of the electric switches that causes a slight shortage if the problem is not caused by a broken cable isolation, i would generously spray some wd40 into the light and turn switches see if it helps and, it cant do any harm
