I'm hoping someone can help, I'm completely new to the mechanics of a scooter. But in having an issue with my right indicator, when it turned on the front indicator flashes (as it should) the rear doesn't work. But along with this my headlight and rear light flashes and the petrol gauge doesn't work and goes down to empty. Any ideas? Iv tried cleaning up all the earths and had no luck.

If it is non battery it could be the 'nipple' on the front of panel that fits into frame has 'gone into itself' and is not connecting to complete the circuit. A simple fix (my father in law did it!!!). The front and rear lights flashing happens on mine when on low revs. Think that is why Mr Vespa added a battery to later models!
As for fuel gauge? Dunno, I tend to rely on the reserve telling me when I need to fill up!

I'll add to this if I may.....
I took my beloved for MOT last Friday and sods law rear left indicator which was working before I left house decided not to on the test!
1981 P200 non battery.
All other three work so switch and little green box under panel are fine. Bulb works. Wire from panel stud to bulb works. Could the wire from headset to where the stud goes in have snapped and if so....how? Bloody scooters! I swear they all hate me! Is it a pig of a job to re wire a new one? Probably, knowing my luck!

more likely the earths gone bad chevrons , either the strap from bulb holder to fixing bolt/panel ,or more likely they earth through the spring on top edge to catch on the frame , it rusts up =no earth for panel =1 rear indie goes duff , or loose bulb in holder give it a wiggle ,the bulb not anything else ,H

Had another look. It turned out that a wire had come away inside the switch box on the handlebar. Soldered, started up and then (and i'm still laughing...) the glass fell away from the light unit and smashed on the floor. I had the top of headset off as I was checking all wiring!
As one door opens.......

at least ya laughin an fixed the indies ,the other options crying n hitting it with a hammer , i always opt for the laughter option first , but do threaten scoot with hammer occasionally, makes it mind its manners a bit more , H

Luckily for the P200 on this occasion I was reminded that I had 3 x 660ml bottles of Becks in the fridge. That took the edge of my mood!
Next time it may be Carling and look out if the only beer to hand is Carling. Or Carlsberg!
