just stripped down my px125 and rebuilt it it starts up and ticks over great but when i turn the throttle it seems flat and wont respond straight away, it seems better when i have built the revs up but when i let it die down and idle i have the same problem again, any help appreciated thanks

check out slow running jet(pilot).have a fiddle with mixture screw 1/4 turn at a time.

Have you tightened the carb and carb box down evenly and to the correct tightness, set air screw at one and a quarter turns as a starting point. Does it behave this way from hot and cold running temperatures ? Is the carb old? Are you running with an air filter on. Check the middle jet (emulsifier tube ) for its cleanliness.
Sounds like too much air in the mixture settings, or an air leak on carb base, if the problem is remaining at all operating temps.
If non of the above rectify the situation, lend a mates carb and see how that runs on your scoot.
