Hi All. Just getting back into biking after many years off the road. 50 year old in a mid-life-crisis. Never had a scooter before and wished i had.!
So im looking about on sites like Ebay and have seen ( what looks to me ) a few very nice 'restored' Vespa 150's in India.
Now i have never been involved in importing anything so im very warey of the whole process.
Paying for the Scoot isn't a problem. Haveing the docs sent to me is cool. Waiting for it to arrive in Southampton is also fine.
The scarey stuff is the extra charges. The red tape & formes that need filing in.
Etc...etc...
Has anyone imported before ?
Can anyone help with advise and info please ?.
Cheers. Alex.

Hi Alex, I asked the very same question and was advised to steer clear. I looked into it a little further and by the time you have paid all the import duties etc etc it is cheaper to buy in this country and at least you can view and listen to it before you buy!!
