MY treasured 2014 PX back from some warranty work and running lovely again ... Parked it up at work 6am this morning , covered it up ...and off in truck to Northampton , got a call from a mate at work at 3pm to say the wind had caught the cover and slammed my scoot on it side, obviously thought it he was joking but not when I rolled up back to work at 4pm ... Ouch
Scoot had blew over (engine side) badly dented and scuffed all the side panel , scuffed the handlebar grip etc etc , it started up phew I thought , Until I tried to rev it and realised the throttle doesn't twist , on quick inspection looked like the throttle fixings etc in the grip have been rammed into the headset and bent the what looks like washers that I presume twist inside the headset ...
AA came out he had no idea how to get the headset off or had never worked on a vespa and as it was getting very dark I told him to arrange a recovery for tomorrow when my scooter dealer is open ... It never rains it pours ... gutted to say the least , the panel I can get replaced or repaired/painted in my own time but throttle wise god knows what damage has been done ...

OOHH nasty... its easily done.. the same thing happened to my 650 honda Deauville so if the wind can push that over a scoot is easy meat !

always a risk, the headset top comes of with 4 screws from underneath ,undo em then feed the speedo cable into fork leg a bit, that will raise the top enuff to get fingers in an pop of the speedo cable .then flip top back an ya can get eyes on the throttle tube ,doubt if its bent/twisted just jammed in a bit . an a scoot without a scratch on a panel is 1 not ridden enuff , H
