i have just got this scoot and am finding that it jumps out of gear in 2nd and 3rd and goes back again. can anyone help, please

hi mate,
welcome on the forum. Do you have any play on the lever or is everything nice and tidy and then it jumps? might be the cruciform?

its not the tightest of gear changes but it doesnt happen till i try to wind her back

Have you tightened your cables at the selector box?

2nd & 3rd jumps when gear box is put under high load is as spence suggests a sign of a worn cruciform and possibly gears worn depending on amount of use you give it following the jumping. If the pin has dislodged in the base of your selector then this would affect all gears
