Now I'm planning on investigating this but i thought I'd run it past the resident experts in case its a common problem. I've never ever worked on a Vespa so I'm a virgin
The problem; cant locate neutral when the engine is running. always been a bit of a problem, but now its impossible unless the engine is off. the scoot also creeps forward in first when the clutch is pulled. I've adjusted the clutch cable and this sorted it for about 500 miles. Now it creeps again.
Now i used to have an oil drip from under the kick start and our club Vespa fixer thinks the gear box may be low on oil. Or the clutch may be on the way out.
Does anyone have any ideas as i need to get parts before Sunday.
Many thanks.......Tim

an oildrip from kickstart = kickstart oil seal has gone.
clutch - could be worn plates or a nice oily cable clamp nut loosening off.
can't get neutral - if its a smallframe gear selector springs or clutch sliding dog may be worn. if its a px then it has probably turned into a lammy LOL
good luck .Ps wots happenin sunday
