Hi all, I hope you are all keeping well and having a good day...... ......Sorry, I've not been on for a while.....I've been a tad bit preoccupied.... The PX is keeping me rather busy....and not giving me enough time to spend on here....Doh!!! Anyway, some of you may remember what she looked like when I first got her from my thread in Introduce yourself & your scoot. For those of you who didn't see her, this is what she looked like......

I cannot seem to get the images working on my posts at the moment for some reasons, I will look into this and I'll continue the thread once I get my head around it.
Cheers

See here for the photbucket instructions I did for alisey: vespa.proboards.com/thread/4282/quick-guide-posting-photos-photobucket(It's the bottom of the four links you want to paste into your post for a direct picture; don't use proboards insert photo button, just copy the whole link straight in). I did have a quick look at your photobucket album;that's just what I'm doing this weekend - getting all the bits off to have a go at the rust. Keep us informed...

Thanks again mate, and yes will update the thread.....best of luck for this weekend, happy stripping and rust attacking!

looking forward to seeing more results Thanks mate The pictures above were taken about 3 weeks ago. Since then all the panels and bits have been sorted....... .....not too bad for a spraycan jobbie in my opinion, I'd love to take credit for it all....but I couldn't do it without my bud. Only body left to do.....will post an image as soon as it's finished. Cheers

good to see abit of paintwork being posted up,looks like a top job aswel any plans for the engine or is it just paintwork resto? Cheers gaz, engine is definitely on the cards...but due to the prices I've seen PX200 engines going for....this luxury probably won't happen this side of Christmas though. I'll just stick with the standard engine for the time being and try improve that bit by bit.....although I wouldn't know where to start. ...any one with any suggestions on how to make her slightly pokier....please advise, it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

....on another note........
While doing the strip..........and removing the petrol tank and oil tank there was some sponge lining in the bay where these go....I ripped it out thinking that it was normal sponge and that I can buy some more and replace it.....I could not have been more wrong.....I cannot find it anywhere!!!
Anyone happen to know....what it's used for (heat/fire retardent/noise) and where I can get the replacement sponge.................please!!!
