Good morning all, Really sorry for the very late/really early thread, I have only just got round to registering. I am new to Vespas, but can definately say......that I have been bitten by the bug. I took the plunge last weekend and bought this beauty........ .....I know it's seen better days.....fortunately though, the wife and kids are away for just over 2 weeks as of Wednesday, so there is enough to do on her to keep me out of trouble . As I said I'm new to these and have a load of questions to ask.....but that's another thread.......and probably tomorrow now. Thanks for reading.

hi n welcome , scoots lookin a bit battered, thanx for the scooter porn by the way, a bit of wood as a lever an most of the mudgaurd will pop out ,ya have to drop the forks to swap mudguards so maybe ya dont want to start by stripping the scooter, the side panels are easier to deal with 1 at a time ,whilst looking at it i'd get some rust cure onto the floor an seams ,an have a good look underneath where dirt from front wheels thrown up .rust is often a killer of vespa's so ya need to keep on top of it.more miles of fun that way ,ridden not hidden keeps a happy scoot/scooterist. Thank you very to all of the above for the welcomes I am very glad I am making a contribution to the scooter porn on this forum hopefully she will only get sexier as time goes on @ henri - Thank you very much for taking the time for your input and advice (greatly appreciated) this is exactly what I needed and why I joined, I'll try and go into it in more detail in the jobs that I need to do and ask for help on another thread and hope you'll be on hand with some more friendly advice. Thanks again.
