Hi all,
a bit of advise please:)
I had an oil leak from the cylinder head. So I decided to take it off and clean and in the same time clean the piston as well.
Putting it back on, now that is clear and not black, I can see that on the connection on meta to metal from the cylinder head to the cylinder there are bubbles coming out once the engine starts running. In other words there isn't a perfect match.
I know that there is a type of glue that mechanics use when putting metal to metal to avoid those tiny spaces left between the cylinder and the head.
ANY IDEA WHAT IS IT CALLED AND WHERE I CAN FIND IT? ;D
Thanks

I'm going across to Liverpool SC in an hour, I'll ask Smallframe if he's there. If he's not some other petrol head might know.
Take a chill pill and I'll get back to you.

Go into a motorbike shop and get some high temp liquid gasket. Did you tighten the head down in the recommended 1,4,2,3 pattern and use a torque guage to ensure you didn't over/under tighten.
if the head has been tightened down evenly and tight enough and you still get seapage then your head is warped. To rectify warped heads you will need a plate of thick glass and some honing paste to lap the head in.
Check the tightness of head first though and follow the :- 1 2
3 4 (1,4,2,3 tightening sequence first)

Cheers mate,
well at the moment I got all the things needed apart from the 4 nuts:) they have a very fine thread and the ones I got are damaged so waiting for new ones from solely scooters as the ones from B&Q won't do:(
Patience.....patience

All I was gonna say was Gasket Grease, from any motor mart. What did you use to clean it with? Nothing abrasive?

No nothing abrasive. Very thin sandpaper and petrol to remove the carbon.

Try telling the man who accidentally left very fine sandpaper next to his toilet roll that it's not abrasive.
Oh hang on, you lived in Greece - where fine sandpaper would offer a welcome relief from the native toilet paper ;D
