I've just acquired a new project (will post some pics later ;D) which is a 1959 Sportique. Frame is really beyond repair, but I can get hold of a later 150 Super frame. Apart from the obvious differences between the two, side panels, headset, mudguard, lights, trim etc, does anyone know if the frame itself is essentially the same? The Sportique is 90% complete, so it's just the frame itself that I need to replace.. any ideas?

i think the legsheilds on the sportique are just slightley wider than the super.i took double sided legsheild trim off my super when i sold it,tried to fit it on my sportique, but to no avail,

Thanks for that, seems mine is a VBA1T (earlier than the sportique?), which has a totally rounded back end with no flat for the no. plate. Had a look at the super frame yesterday, it's different at the back end, not sure on the front, need to put the 2 side by side and compare. Any ideas who to try for a VBA frame? I'm sure I could get a VBB as they are the ones popular in Vietnam/India but VBA's seem a bit thin on the ground..

My Sprint currently has a Super frame (the frames are virtually identical) so if you want any photos or measurements of a Super frame for comparison let me know.

Thanks, I now have a Super frame sitting alongside my VBA, there are a fair few detail changes between them, seems I really do need a round tailed VBA or a VBB1T frame.. Which are not exactly easy to find.. May actually be possible to straighten the frame I have though, which would be nice
