First post go easy on me.........
A mate has just bought a 1968 GT150. He wants to keep the original engine so are these parts still available and who supplies 'em.
stator and flywheel, coil seals cruxiform
if these prove to be a problem, whats the going rate for a secondhand t5 or p2 lump? Cheers Ian

Hi, Ian welcome to the forum Most parts are readily available from online suppliers such as www.allstylesonline.co.uk or www.beedspeed.com, Stator and Flywheel are quite expensive, seals and cruciform fairly cheap. Beedspeed do offer a "rewire service" for the stator not sure how good it is though. And some companies offer a 12 volt conversion system. Second hand parts often come up on the ebay - just watch the prices (I paid £23.50 for a good stator and flywheel recently) and check whether you require battery or non-battery stator as there is a difference. Not sure of T5 or P2 engine prices, I believe T5 engines are regarded as one of the best lumps available therefore likely to be expensive. Good luck with the rebuild.

Welcome to the forum, I'd say pay about £250 for a P2 or T5 motor..

Had a closere inspection today...............................boy has he got his work cut out............ hes never owned a classic vespa before but hes as keen as owt , so don't mind helping him. Took his forks apart for him n unseized his rear brake pedal etc. However the engine is worse than originally thought, with the kickstart casting having been snapped off. Thats kinda mind up his mind thou, time to start looking for a T5 / P2 lump - anyone got one for sale? Oh yeah and a front mudguard to suit?
