just fitted new battery and spark plug, when use electric start it just clicks kickstarts ok though electric start didnt work when bought the bike, guy told me it just needed a new batttery any ideas? cheers leon  |

if batts fully charged then the solenoid in the starter should fire the starter cog against the flywheel. Just a click suggests a flat batt or dodgy solenoid

hi
if the starter relay makes some noise...thats a good sign
it could be the starter is not connected
what i would suggest is first check if your starter is good .
do this by connecting a cable to the battery PLUS and to the starter plus. if the starter spins the engine, you know your starter relay is the problem.
