Hi,
Does anyone know the size of the above scoot, for example how does it compare in size to a modern PX 125. They look pretty similar, disc brake apart.
Cheers, any help appreciated.

Which do you mean? if its the PK range which came in to replace the smallframe range in the '80's, it's a bit smaller than the P range, has fixed panels and the engine is different. If you mean the earlier PX125 with no disc?, that was introduced in the late 70's and is pretty well same as todays PX125 bar a few trim changes..

Thanks, it is the PX125E variety. It's on eBay now at £799 and looks decent enough. I didn't want to go for it and then find out it's a bloody small frame.....

sorry to dip into your topic but practically speaking what difference is a small frame, different engine obviously... i'd imagine it to maybe be slower but abit nippier? is the size different that big?

Nice one, I had a 1981 P125X, loved it.. Really nothing more than a few trim/detail changes between that and the current PX. PK is really quiet different, personally I think it's not a good looker (no offence PK owners ) compared to the older smallframes like the V90/100/primi. Engine wise, dunno, it's a 125 but not sure how power output compares to the PX, can't comment on the size, been many years since I had a smallframe, but I'd say the PX is appreciably larger all round..

Hello i'm not expert on vespa's but i have just bought a pk 125, it is a small frame. (PK 50, 50s and 125, 125 s 1981 to 1989) I have been told that the frame size where all the same on these models. If any one can correct me pleas do as i would like to know for sure. The frame on mine is a 50 special 1986 with a 125 s engine and if fits lovely in the frame. Just one thing wrong with it, i wish it had a front disk break.

PK's all have the same body yes. So handily the motors are interchangable
