This question has come from Dave Smalley, can anyone help him out?
"Good afternoon, I wonder if you can help?
I have very recently been bit by the love for Vespas and I am in the middle of restoring one to its former glory- you know, that labour of love that takes ages, costs the earth and keeps you out of the way of the wife!!
It is a 125cc 1986 C reg Piaggio Vespa, but on closer inspection of the log book it states that it is a "Douglas" I've been doing a bit of digging and can only find Douglas Vespas in manufacture until about the late 1970s. This makes me ask the questions:-
Is this correct and if so is it some sort of limited addition? If it is a Piaggio Vespa Douglas what makes it different from the T5 or the PX? Lastly does anyone have a photo/picture of a "Piaggio Vespa Douglas" of this year (or there abouts) so I can make sure I am restoring it correctly?"
Cheers, Dave.

Allright Dave, on a closer inspection of my log book I can see that mine is named as Douglas as well. Nothing to worry about mate:) I think the Brits got a bit confused:) I have a PX125EFL 1984 model and after roughly 10years of vespa experience I can tell u is just the brits being different:) were abouts are you based as I just finished restoring mine and if you need any help feel free to get intouch:) regarding pics etc let me know if you need specifics and i'll take pics of mine. good luck with the project moses
