Hi Guys
I am new here, just came found which looks cool.
I have been having a few concerns about the amount of fuel I am getting through at the moment.
I have a Vespa ET4 125, Three years old.
I ride mainly to and from work everyday & the journey is about 15 miles a day max & easily get through a fuel tank, is that right?
Tyres are good and with what feels like the right air pressure.

A tank lasts 15miles? ?!!!!! Are you going flat out? There is defo sthing wrong. Any leaks? Does it smoke a lot from the exhaust?

There is no obvious signs of a fuel leak but I will look at smoke from the exhaust, does that mean that there is an issue with the oil etc. I do at times ride quiet progressively although I have recently taken it a bit easier to see if that was the reason why I was drinking so much fuel

I don't care how progressively you ride mate, Steve McQueen couldn't use up a tank of fuel on a 125cc bike in just 15 miles!
I don't know how much fuel you get into an ET4, but if you ride sensibly on a PX125 you should be able to get close to 100 miles out of a tank. It's less than this on an ET4 of course, because automatics tend to rev higher before changing up, but still way more than 15 miles.

Guys I think there has been a slight misunderstanding. I said that I do approx 15 miles a day to and from work, thats 5 days a week which roughly equates to 75 miles a week. The ride is quiet urban and I am doing a lot of filtering through rush hour traffic etc, So maybe I am not to far from what I should be doing based on the type of ride I have to do.

I'm glad it wasn't just me that was confoosed. 75 miles sounds fine for urban traffic (as well as like a Northern Soul song)

Good tip for improving fuel consumption; leave your scooter in the garage because all the petrol's sold out thanks to dickhead farmers and lorry drivers threatening to blockade oil refineries.
Just who do they think they're hurting? Certainly not Gordon Brown. He's at home laughing his flabby manbreasts off, wearing his "I don't queue for petrol" slippers and his "I have no intention whatsoever of reducing fuel tax" pyjamas.
If they had any sense they'd park their trucks and tractors around Westminster where they might actually slightly inconvenience a politician or two, not just us ordinary joes trying to get to work and back.
That's all I have to say about that. For now.

Hi
I am new. What fuel should I use for my vespa P125X? Provided there is any left. I have been using Tesco 4star but they stopped selling it.

Optimax is great fuel, nice high octane but any unleaded will suffice on a standard motor. I thought a few supermarkets have been done in the past for putting sh*te in with their petrol.
