After getting a flat tyre at the weekend, changed wheels back last night and snapped one of the bub nuts doing it up .. This is a replacement hub I fitted 9 months ago, a non genuine part, it's the one most of the dealers seem to sell as a replacement for all PX's (has the shiney alloy centre rather than painted). Not the first problem I've had, after a couple of months it was running out of true with the brake grabbing in certain places. Anyway, looking at the hub, the threads on all the studs are iffy and they have rusted where the rim meets, no doubt causing a weak spot, bearing in mind that my scoot is garaged and seldom sees rain I was a bit put out at the poor quality given how new it is. If anyone else has one of these non-gen hubs on, worth checking the studs next time you have the wheel off. Seems pretty typical of most of the aftermarket parts I've bought, personally I'll be happy to pay a bit more for OE next time!
