How do you accurately measure your bore to buy piston rings?
I ordered 3rd oversize as my piston had a 3 on the top and the supplier said thias should be correct.
When they arrived they are obviously far too big.
I measured my bore at work today, top and bottom, with a digital vernier and it cam up as 65.9mm
But the bore sizes for a 200 are as follows
standard 66.5
1st o/size 66.7
2nd o/size 66.9
3rd o/size 67.1
Is this because I am not measuring 25mm down the bore as recommended? (you can't with a vernier)
How else can you accurately measure it?
