hi all, heres one for ya! i had been for a good ride sunday , still had half a tank of fuel, all of a sudden ,the scoot (2011 px125) decides to not play ball. i pulled up at side of road and the bike sat there merrily ticking over , but when i put it in gear to pull off , it just went "bluuur" and would not accelerate aven though it kept on idling . i sat there for about 3 minutes , then gave it a good handful of throttle (in neutral) and after that it seemed to clear and went well again all the way home. what do you think , blocked jet? clutch or ? over to you.!!

I'd say blocked main jet, if it does it again clean the jets, float bowl and the fuel filter whilst you're in there.

99% blocked jet or fouled plug, either of which will clear themselves in time.
If it starts doing it regularly, then investigate further.

As above. The handful of throttle either cleared a slightly fouled/carboned plug as it had been idling and oiling up, or a tiny speck of dirt in the main jet. Worth cleaning it all out as you may have got lucky. I knew of one case where the running was a bit off like this. The handful of throttle made it stop altogether. Cut story short a tiny piece of rust particle was coming up to main jet then falling away again as throttle was shut down. The handful of twist grip sucked it right into the jet & it stuck firm!!!!! Airline cured that once it was all apart. He had a long push too ha ha
