after rebuilding the engine on the stepsons PX we have reconnected the choke cable into the carb,but now after pulling out choke it does not shut when choke pushed back (only shuts if you pull back the carb choke lever) i assume the cable may have got kinked if we need to replace do we have to take tank out or is there another way Bugger

I'm no expert, but i reckon the tank will have to come out, it'll certainly make it easier to get to.

As Jase says, removing tank easy enough you can do it with the fuel tap in place, push the rubber grommet through, only need to disconnect fuel pipe at carb, then 4 (IIRC) bolts on top, lift it out.. believe replancement choke innner and outer cable are supplied together.
