ac actual current this current fluctuates ie old vespa with no battery sat on tick over you will see head lights flicker dc direct current ie directed current through a battery to stabilize the current passed on and be continuous no light flicker

It's not that simple The only DC services on a Vespa are the starter and the horn. Everything else is AC.
