Okay whets the best. I've tried nyloc nuts on all studs, Domeheads with spring washers on all studs and a combination of nylocs to hold the rim together and domes to hold it on and I can't say I'm entirely happy with any combination as on the rear wheel I'm forever tightening them up - is this normal or am I doing something wrong. All I haven't tried is nyloc and spring washers as there isn't enough thread to work the nyloc.

Hmm, wheel to hub I use stainless flat washer then spring washer and a domed nut, on the rim a flat washer then nyloc nut, never had them come loose.. maybe a touch of Locktite needed

Always used spring washer and a domed nut, never ever had them come loose. You haven't got a vibration problem have you?

Well the scoot definitely vibrates, but not having anything to compare it with its hard to say whether its excessive - It just feels like an old two stroke!. It’s the rear wheel to hub that works loose. If I’m entirely honest I wasn't really happy with the thread form on the hub studs when rebuilding. I tried to use the hub that came with the spare engine as the studs had been replaced with bolts - unfortunately only two of the studs lined up with the holes in the rim.
Think I'll try new domes and springs from a different supplier first, just in case these ones are poor quality. Don’t fancy trying to drill out he studs by hand accurately - anyone tried those cheap pillar drills from B&Q?
Loctite is very tempting as I really want to clock some miles up after not riding it for so long, just dont fancy trying to get them off if I get a puncture
