Can anyone tell me the best way to go about puting some sounds on to my PX, maybe to fit an MP3 player, Amp & some speakers on to the tool box door.. & where would i find the gear to do this, if it's at all possable, was talking to a fella at a rally at the weekend who had a CD player attatched under the seat.. & the sound from the speakers were great...! Has anyone else done this..! Cheers Gerard.

hiya gerard to do wot you want to do you will need a pair of speakers a car amp an on off switch a 1ft cable with one end phono plugs and the other mini jack and an mp3 player speakers and amp from motorworld i use a 2 x 50 watt amp .... roughly 30-40 pound and a pair of speakers ...roughly 12 pound from motorworld run a live and an earth from your battery to a switch that i have located on top of the butty box i run mine underneath my scoot then onto the live and earth of the amp you will also have to make a small loop connection from the live to the continuous live on the amp ... this enables you to switch the amp on and off by the switch connect the audio lead to the phono outputs of the amp and drill a small hole so you can bring it out of the top of the butt box to your mp3 player ....i use velcro to stick my mp3 player to the top of the butty box as for the speakers if you get a standard 6 inch set make sure they are plastic coned and not paper .....the rain doesnt affect them use a cd disc as a template (its ideal) cut the holes and wire them to your amp
i keep getting asked wether i used outdoor speakers i didnt my scooter is parked outside 80% of the time and ive never had a problem had it in for over a year now ill just add when you get the 2 way switch make sure its around 30 amp handling or it will melt lol
hope thats of some help by the way it takes the p*sh out of most stereos that are fitted volume wise

Rather than cut your lid ive got one with speaker holes in and i want one without!!! if your up for a swap. Ill get it sand blasted first and a coat of primer on it for you. If you go to a local paint place (refinishers) they will match the colour for you and you can get them to make up a can of spray for you for under £10 let me know if you're interested. Pete

another thought... if you are up for it, if you shipped the your lid over first and got me the pain colour, i could get that blasted the same time as im getting my whole PX blasted. let me know the paint code and ill colour it up too. I aim to be getting the balsting and spraying done at the end of the month.

if you find a door without holes give me a shout could do a swap. I really cant be bothered to weld up mine. I could still get my old one blasted and prime it up.
