Hi all . Just got into scoots for the 1st time and i bought a 1998 px200e but its been fitted with a px 125 engine.I took it for its mot today and it failed because the front brake does not operate the rear brake light ! Ive had a look but its not fitted with a brake switch on the front brake . Im told they can be converted by using a cable incorporating a switch. If anyone can give me any advice it would be much appreciated.Thanks...steve

had the same problem, rebuilt mine and took it for it's mot only to be told the same thing, as a result i had to buy a front break light switch, diconnect the nipple from the lever and cut it off, thread the cable through the switch and then solder the nipple back on and reconnect, you may be luck and have wires in the headset that will be for the switch if not it isn't toooooooo difficult to attach a couple of wires.

hi all , fitted a front brake switch today in the cable . Just need to find where to connect it to in the loom now . Not sure if there is an easy way ? Does anyone know if the wires to the rear brake pedal switch run back to the connectors behind the horncast ?
Thanks all....Steve

according to the electric diagram of 1994-98 px200e (battery and starter equipped) , 3 wires connect to the rear brake light switch. one is blue, that also connects to the front brake light switch, and also to the tail stop lamp. the other is grey that connects to the turn signal relay , AND from there to the regulator with a green wire.
and to your question, it doesnt connect to connectors near the horn cover
hope this helps..
