My PX200 throttle was getting 'notchy'. Hard work to ride without a nice, smooth throttle. Put a new inner cable in last week to get to the Brighton "Deckchairs at Dawn" run and that just made things worse. Horrible to ride. Outer cable must be scored/lined. So replaced the outer this morning. Usual picture wire through the new cable and crimped to the old one etc. New outer was thicker so got caught up but got there in the end! Now the point of this 'ramble' is that I have never been too happy with just those tiny screw universal nipples to retain the throttle inner. So, I drilled a 2.5mm hole in-line with the cable run on the other side of the plastic throttle cam wheel. This allowed the cable to be fed through before being cut off (after soldering a section to give a clean cut with the sidecutters) and allowed another nipple to be fitted as back-up. Oh joy! So smooth and a lot easier to ride. As an aside I have always found too that the brake lever had liitle feel (disc version) and was either on/off. So I removed the ali lever, filed a millimetre or so off the heal that contacts the master cylinder piston, added a bit of grease to the heal, re-fitted it and Voila! A much nicer brake feel with better reach for my hand!!!

That's very nice design, I've seen it done before but never understood why.. Now I know. It makes perfect sense too, you've no kink in the cable at the end.
Hmm, may play with that idea myself.
