small spark

i have renovated a 50 special,but i'm having probs with the spark ie. its only slight, (the engine started on 2nd kick after rebuild, then i left it for a few days)tried new plug, no spark.tried plug lead on casing, slight spark,tried new ht lead,slight spark,reset points,slight spark....i've been told that it could be the condenser,my local scooter shop is going to test on saturday a.m..... has anyne had similar problem if so can you point me in the right direction

finally i've had a break through, it turns out that my old stater must of blown something cos i purchased a 2nd hand one from ebay,had it fitted & hey presto......woo hoo
