Might be a dumb question..but, is there any way of telling if the clutch is on its way out? I can smell a smell, could be anything including my imagination!
No slip and its a T5 classic.
Cheers...Tim

Sure it'll be fine When the plates wear you may feel it slip under load, you can test it by sticking it in a high gear at relatively low speed, lots of revs let the clutch out, if it's on the way out it'll slip.. ..of course if it was ok before, doing the above may see it off ;D

;D well at least it's relatively easy to ride a Vespa without a clutch if you need to..
Other thing to check is if it's dragging when you put it into gear, if so often just needs the cable tightening up.
Clutch on my T5 is a bit noisy on idle BTW, though it works fine, I'm told that's fairly normal..

Mines noisy on idle too. I dont fancy riding with no clutch but its either the T5 or the car to morcambe, so the T5 it'll be
