I love my P2. 12 years old, smoothrite and underseal. Since then it's grown a centre rack and a few more stickers, and has a new SIP road exhaust. Had it from new, it'll be the last scooter I have.

and last but not least (unless you count the T5 in a hundred bits and the rusty Mk1 that needs chopping up....) my beloved Cosa.

Eh up Mark. All chaos at the Lyons it seems. Why can't they all just ride their scoots, have a beer and get along. They're like a bunch of old women, petty arguments about nothing. I'd probably not bother with it if I was back in Bllghty.

I'd probably not bother with it if I was back in Bllghty. The writing was on the wall 18 months ago so I kept away stupid old men with commitees like any of it realy matters Its about riding and f**king about with scooters a bit of anarchic behavior not some sensible middle aged mid life crisis p*shing contest . And then to play it all out in public Nik your scoots are superb love the Cosa The underseal you scruffy bleeder ;D Jack the PX is looking good unusual floridas look right though . Hi Robjack

Is the one on the left an ex Chester SC bike? I think I may have a pic of it from about 82 or 83 somewhere if it is. If not, then the one I'm thinking about is very similar! Thanks for the kind words, the P2 is the best scooter I've had. Typical late model POS, I've binned the electric start engine (that's now a 207 reed valve that will go in the chop frame) and stuck in an early autolube engine with high comp head from a Mk1. It's an ongoing project into 'how much abuse and neglect can a scooter take before you have to fix it again', it's high point being a 70 mile round trip to Morecambe (I used to live in Clitheroe) with no oil in the gearbox. The engine was fine until I cooked the plates on the way home. I blame it on a last minute top end change on beer and long cigarettes the Thursday nights. Then engine then did another 150k+ miles before the rear hub seal went. The chop itself is a running gag, it'll never really get built, but I like to pretend it will. The Cosa is next in line for work, I need to work out how to blank off the front hydraulics, sort the iffy wiring, and get it back on the road again. A couple of weeks work I reckon. Unfortunately, I know where there is a cheap Cosa chop that's calling my name.... We'll see! Oh, and I have to build the lovely wifeys T5 out of those hundreds of bits, but no rush, she can't ride until she's had the kid I love being a 47 year old scooterboy.

The 79 PX in happier times originally a Stockport mod squad scoot but has been around a bit since then , I have owned it for about six years paid 80 squid for it complete minus the engine but the arse end is like a sieve , as a piece of scootering history its a bargain to me though . Nik the chop project looks interesting scoots and real life though dont mix well it is hard to find time . I very rarely have any problems with my scoots I dont tinker with them do the minimum amount of maintenance use el cheapo oil and am a happy bunny , far to many people get precious about what is essentialy a cheap bit of stylised tin . 56 this year to old to be a scooterboy dont know what I am though , probably just a grumpy old b*st**d who should know better ;D Attachments:

sh*t! I didn't realise that was Firefly!
Bloody hell, a bit of a legendary shopping bike alright! I suspect the Chester one was a knock off, having given it some thought it was silver flake with similar legshield styling but totally different panels. I'll have to look the photo up.
And soooo much of it's time. Nice one...
No argument about the 'precious' comment. At the end of the day, they're shopping/commuting bikes. If you really want to do 300+ mile round trips on one, you really need your head testing. I do wonder sometimes why I laugh at people sticking theirs on trailers. Until I'm about four hours into the ride, the engine's purring, the sun is shining and I'm filtering past people in motorhomes with Lammies strapped to the back*
*Please note, I don't actually think I've had all of that combination in one go for about eight years, but the sentiment stands...

Mines supposed to be finished by this summer. I forgot I'd entered it into a custom build off competition until earlier. I may lose that one.
