;D wahey, finally got it finished, its been one of those jobs though started at the front end and ended up with the petrol tank out (long story) but gave me a opportunity to change shocks over. not the smartest job in the world but it works and thats all that matters to me. will post some pics later.

Hey Dazh, look forward to seeing the pics, something I've been thinking about recently, what kit did you use, or was it from a donor PX?

it was aone of those jobs, ive never done before so wanted to get it right. the parts were takn from a px disc, i had bought a spare set of mk1 t5 forks ready for the conversion, as i did not want to be stuck without a machine to ride. afetr a initiall strip down, all bearings were removed and replaced, forks were stripped and repainted and laqured, the disc was surface ground as there was some scores on it. caliper was overhaulled, new brake line, going through the existing hole in the forks where the brake cable would have been, this was drilled out another mm. the front sebac shock was trial fitted and failed just a tickle with the angle grinder ahd it sorted though ;D the big problem was doing the hose line, never done one before, so it was leaking all over, finally sussed it though i got the lower headset from the crash damaged px and cut off the complete throttle housing and got a mate with a lathe to machine it out to a interference fit with the T5 bars. kept the t5 skeleton bars in the freezer overnight and the new machined throttle housing in the oven for 20 mins, and fitted it on, failed first time to get it in right posistion, so out with blow torch and back into freezer/oven. got it spot on second attempt i routed the cable through the forks, but there would have been a too tight bend in the hose to go where i wanted it to, so i drilled a hole in the metal handle bars skeleton and put in a rubber grommit. only thing i'm a bit dissapointed with is the upper and lower plastic headsets, wish i'd took a little more care /time over them. pics will be up on monday. daz
