After many years of wanting one finally got a vespa (84 px125..)Some muppet kindly kicked it over the other day! trashed the metalflake on the side panel but thats the least of my worries...when i tried to kick it over fuel literally gushed out of the exhaust!!
It has a 166 malossi kit fitted with the fuel/oil mix going straight in the tank...is this a result of it being on its side? what can i do to get it running?
Also snapped the brake lever...I have ordered a new one ...whats the idiots guide for fitting it? Many thanks...

Blimey, not a good start then.. not quiet sure how the fuel got in the exhaust even if it was on it's side, but if the barrel was flooded worth taking the plug out and drying the plug off, can't think of any other reason why it should not start now.. Brake cable is easy, just losen the cable at the hub, remove the cross head screw on the lever and you should be able to pull the lever out enough to pop the head of the cable out, put the new lever in, pull the cable back at the hub end and tighten, job done

There are a couple of things to look at, possibly hange the float bowl pin in the carb. If this is knackered, and the throttle left open when it was on it's side, and the piston in bottom position , it could fill the exhaust. Lots of maybe l know. First drain the pipe of all fuel, heat the plug on a gas cooker ( at the end) and she should fire up, leave the throttle open when you kick her over as well, clears the carb !
