Derestricting

Just got myself a 2004 ET4 50cc Vespa , its currently restricted but I have been told that derestricting the 4 stroke model will make little or no difference to top speed. Has anybody got any thoughts ? the poor bike needs all the help it can get hauling my 14 stone about ;D

Any removal of restriction should do it good, even removing dead bugs from the plastic
If it didn't make a difference , restriction wouldn't be there...
