Hi just thought i'd share my sh*tty day with you guys. My second day using my PX 125 disk to commute to Manchester and disaster! I was setting off from a set of lights and i think my fingers must have slipped off the clutch causing my scooter to shoot forward, my hands kept gripped on the bars and for some unknown reason i kept accelerating, physics took over and i ended up flat on my back with the scooter on my chest. After a fascinating day in A & E i have been discharged with bruised ribs and a playground style grazed knee. I have made a point of going straight out on my scooter to exercise some demons and practice some clutch control, still very shaken up but i know i've had a lucky escape, i plan to scoot to work in the morning. Just wanted to share that with you. Marvin. P.S. the scooter is fine, just a few surface scratches that i will sort out at the weekend

That's pretty crap, but at least you're not badly hurt and it hasn't put you off. Well done for getting back on so soon. Hopefully that's all your spills out of the way and you can concentrate on enjoying the glorious summer we're going to have.
Don't leave your training with CBT though, carry on and do your full test. You will benefit in lots of ways and you can chuck those ugly L plates.

Ouch. Echo what Robjack says, nice1 for getting straight back on.
I had a couple of offs in the first year or so and the main thing I was worried about was what's my paintwork like! Never mind the bruises.
Being a Manc who is missing home, what set of lights was it? ;D

Know it well, about 2 minutes from my old house.
Not a good place for that to happen!
