got 4 rims from santa, 2x vespa and 2x lammy, thanks santa got tyres fitted finally today on the vespa rims (£5 ;D ) these are the new type from scootrs and have the safety beading as do the lammy ones. tyres were hard to get on conti twist sports, and some scuffing of the rims has been done, but nothing too drastic, its my daily ride so im not fussed. will get them on the t5 in the morning and see how they perform.

Nice one Dazh, let us know how you get on with them, I was considering a set but a bit concerned about how tricky it is to get the tyres on and off, did a scooter shop do them for you?

just a normal garage put them on by hand, well with levers. they are a great fit, back one was slightly harder as the holes in the rims are a little tight fit , possibly down to powder coating, or the fact its not a original piaggio T5 rear hub. could not get the moon discs on though, as they are slightly smaller, so have had to cut the discs back to the second circle (if you look inside you will see what im on about) however , to the untrained eye they look absolutely no difference. as for getting the tyres off, well thats what dremmels are for ;D i have had a few blow outs in my years (all back wheel) i feel slightly more confident in these that they are not going to go flat instantly at 60 mph, will also be filling them with some of that slime stuff when i get round to it.

Ahh, that's interesting, from what I read the tyres had to be put on with a machine at a Piaggio dealer, if not, I'll maybe have a try with them..
I did have a heck of a job getting my Contis on a standard split rim, so maybe they are a tighter fit than some of the other makes...
Wot, you actually like the moon disks??? ;D
