PX125efl ...........which was a good starting point for me, it was nice an easy to sort using the Haynes manual .... Oh forgot I had a PX frame when I was a kid with half an engine and no seat but Id spend all day sitting on it going imaginary cruise's ha'ha ............Will post a pic of my scoot after the resto cheers

Cheers for the replies Jacktheripper and Sirscootalot ... Hopefully my paint order is at the shop today , I wanted to have the etch and 2 pack primer base n clear in before I got on with welding the new floor pan in some eejit put a tonne of filler on the floor over cracks and small holes ,, Is that the stock colour Sirscootalot ? ..I was considering going down the road of getting it back to its original colour with maybe a tint in the clearcoat ...Though the GL's Iv'e seen all look the same I like how youv'e done the one in the pic though looks far better with the red added nice and subtle but still stylish!!! . I'm using a blue pearl basecoat with an old english under the panel flashes ,horncast and mudguard ... I did want to get the mudguard chromed , if I could find a new one , Though a lot of shops say the Sprint mudguard is the same (which I don't know is correct ? Anybody ? ) It can always be changed anyway .. To me the GS160 mudguard looks more like the GL's .....I'll shut up now

Hi Frankie, welcome to the forum. Here's a photo of my Sprint so you can compare the mudguards. I don't think mine's like the GL's in Jack's photo. The side flash is totally different for a start.

Cheers for posting the pic Spence to me it looks like the GL mudguard is a bit longer than the Sprint's ......... On scooterhelp it says that the sidebags etc ........are unique to the GL ...I don't mind that because I can do work myself , what is annoying is being told otherwise just to get the cash from your pockets ...... I won't say where but was quoted from a shop £120 for a sidepanel that was 2nd hand and needing rot cut out and patching ...Surely there would be more business for these places if they offered value for money .......and didn't just tell you what they think you want to hear ...I was thinking along the lines of having spare panels to paint up when I'm painting my scoot but prices soon changed my mind ... Or maybe I'm just being a tight arse Jock
