whilst attaching my spare wheel underneath the lefthand side cowl, I was tightening the nut (the one just above the positive connection of the battery) and a few sparks flew. gave me a bit of a jump. have checked everything works (lights, indicators etc.) Any clues as to why this has happened? never done before.

If you touch the terminals with something metal, sparks will fly. Haven't you ever licked the top of a 9v battery? Same thing.

Thanks spence.just checking. thought i was missing something vital. as for the battery...ooohhh yes lol. and was made to tastes ulphuric acid in chemistry lessons by my o level teacher lol. quite nice actually. like lemon hehehe. don't recommend it for cooking tho.

while i was on holiday in cayton bay sum years ago we came across a fence that said on posters attached to it that it was electrified-i like a fool didnt believe it so proceded to c**k my leg over it to get over the fence!!!!!!!!-i swear to you all i have flashbacks to this day!!!!
