Try taking the headset top off and disconnect the speedo, then spin the front wheel, if the cable turns you've a problem in the speedo itself. If not you have a problem at the wheel so try pushing the inner cable down in bit, if you can't get the cable turn when you spin the wheel, you may need to replace the plastic drive wheel inside the hub, IIRC you need to remove the hub to get to it and its a cheap part to replace.. hope that helps

if your findin it dificult to attach the cable to your speedo-push it up thru your forks a bit more, that'll give you a little more to play with.

finally got my front wheel off after some gentle persausion with a claw hammer, anyway it was some state in there all gunge and some rust, deffo water been getting in. now the speedo drive ,how do you remove it, do you take it out from the outside of the hub where the cable goes in? can't really see much to take out inside the hub. ive got the haynes manuel but it may as well be in italian cos i find some bits hard to follow. they really need to bring out an idiots guide for idiots like me.
