finally got my new exhaust yesterday ;D. fitted it today ;D. took me an absolute age. 5 hours thereabouts. thing was a bloody nightmare to fit, trying to get the main bolt lined up was just torture, picture the scene me out in the pouring rain on my own, putting it on taking it off, putting it on taking it off, jiggling it about, cursing like a drunk sailor. i even kicked my poor t5 at one point (don't worry i apologized) then finally at half past 6 it was on, yes, i felt so proud of myself . so yours truly will be back on the road soon. god bless us one and all.

I've fitted Simoninis and a Sito Plus and despite them being made especially for the models of scooter I was putting them on, I've yet to find one that didn't need some sort of "slight modification" to get it to fit. Must just be a fact of life.
This was my 500th post btw.

its mabye just down to luck mate, my exhaust was just the standard t5 exhaust, but oh how i struggled with it, getting the long bolt into the fixed nut was just a nitemare. mabye if i had a hand it would have been easier. when i first took the old one off to weld it my mate helped get it back on so it wasn't so difficult. but he was off to amsterdam for a 3 day jaunt, selfish or what, and me being me couldn't wait for him to get back.

i realy hate it when things bought especially to one thing dont fit or need modifying, its no fun to me, must be my age. i had the dam captive nut come loose on the back of sito plus exhaust and spent around a hour trying to get it on. decided to stop fannying about and took the whole motor out and put it on the work bench. ground off the captive nut caseing, and then fitted the exhaust and long bolt and (ex) captive nut, then welded the nut on. it now fits on perfect each and every time.
