Partly as a bare-faced plug, and partly because I know you guys might appreciate this.. I'm "babysitting" an online comic for a friend while he's on holiday.

It's purely an amateur affair, as both he and I have day jobs (that don't involve being comic artists). Anyway, he's been doing this strip for well over a year in his own time, 5 days a week. A very significant commitment on his part. RESPECK!
A while back I persuaded him to give the main character a scooter, and furnished him with pics of lambrettas. He obliged and came up with a strange lambretta-of-sorts which made it into a few episodes. Now I'm drawing the strip for a week, I've blatantly seized on the opportunity to give the character a Vespa.
I'm afraid I'm a bit crap at coming up with the jokes though. It's really HARD to be funny on demand in a 4-panel format. I don't know how he does it. Anyway, I hope you appreciate my efforts to bring the best scooter in the world EVAR to a non-scooter oriented public. Shame about the punchlines though (or lack thereof).
